Ettore Ximenes

Ximenes was born in Palermo and, after studying in Palermo, Naples, and Paris, began producing many works, including the monuments to Giuseppe Garibaldi in Pesaro, Milan, and Carpi, as well as a sculptural group for the Vittoriano monument complex in Rome. In Parma, the sculptor also created the monument to Vittorio Bottego and the one dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi. In 1907, the city of Parma granted him honorary citizenship.
